About SGRR

Sooner Golden Retriever Rescue is a non-profit, all volunteer organization established for the purposes of placing unwanted Golden Retrievers in good homes and educating the public about Golden Retrievers and their needs.

All incoming dogs are spayed or neutered and temperament and health checked before placement. An in-home interview is conducted with every potential adoptive family to determine that all adoption criteria have been met and to carefully match a Golden with a new and permanent home.

Further, the Sooner Golden Retriever Rescue provides in-depth educational materials to all potential adoptive homes and other interested parties, solicits donations, and holds ongoing fund raising projects to help defray the costs of rescue operations.
